An educational and humane way of finding out what bird is waking you up at 6AM rather than throwing rocks at it to shut it up. National Geographic put together this straightforward and sleek looking database of birds both in the US and Canada.

There are also a number of beautiful photos which I appreciate after a summer of handling birds - they don't like to pose.

Here is the spread they have on those lovely birds I studied way back in the spring/summer of 2006 in the Gaspereau Valley (just outside Wolfville). Glad to see I hung out with them when they were their prettiest, in my humble opinion.
